Warning

Rain will move up from the south on Tuesday, becoming persistent and sometimes heavy during the afternoon and evening. 20 to 30 mm is likely to fall quite widely, with 40 to 50 mm possible in a few places, mainly in southeastern counties. The rain will persist overnight then slowly die out on Wednesday morning.

Heavy rain leading to some surface water flooding and possible transport disruption later Tuesday and overnight into Wednesday.
