More snow showers, staying bitterly cold

Good morning,

It's another bitterly cold morning and it will be staying very cold for all throughout today. There will be further snow showers in more northern and eastern areas with the heaviest affecting northeast England and parts of eastern Scotland. Another areas of snow showers across eastern Ireland and some persistent snow edging into southern Devon and Cornwall too.

More snow showers into this afternoon, now pushing into the Midlands as well as much of northern and eastern England. The area of snow probably fading from Cornwall and passing into southern Ireland. Bitterly cold for all in the strong east wind.

Severe frost again tonight with snow showers in the east of the UK and across eastern Ireland. Further accumulations of snow here. Dry elsewhere with clearer skies.
